What is the fault light jammer?
The fault light blocker (or fault light suppressor, fault light canceller) in sports cars is usually used to prevent or suppress the problem of warning lights (such as engine fault light, ABS light, airbag light, etc.) in the vehicle's electronic system continuing to light up after certain modifications or repairs. Many high-performance sports cars and modified cars will be modified based on the original configuration of the vehicle, such as installing a more powerful engine, modifying the exhaust system or replacing sensors, etc. These changes sometimes cause the vehicle's electronic system to mistakenly believe that there is a fault, thereby triggering the fault light.
Catalytic Converter Delete Module:
In some performance modifications, car owners may choose to remove the catalytic converter, and this modification often causes the engine control unit (ECU) to falsely report a fault. The catalytic converter delete module can solve this problem.
What does a fault light catalytic converter shield do:
Eliminate false alarms: After some cars are modified or upgraded, the original ECU (engine control unit) may not recognize the new parts or modified systems, causing the fault light to light up. A fault light shield can suppress these unnecessary warnings and avoid false alarms.
Eliminate fault codes: If certain sensors (such as oxygen sensors, catalytic converters, throttle position sensors, etc.) no longer work after modification, the shield can prevent the triggering of the fault light by suppressing the display of fault codes.
Ensure compatibility between the modified system and the original system: By using a fault light shield, the modified vehicle electronic system can avoid conflicts with the original vehicle sensors or systems.
Avoid unnecessary warnings: For example, exhaust system modifications may cause the original sensor to read abnormal data, causing the engine fault light to light up. By installing a shield, these abnormal signals can be filtered out to prevent the warning light from continuously lighting up.
