GPF（Gasoline Particulate Filter）

A Gasoline Particulate Filter (GPF) is an emissions control device specifically designed for gasoline vehicles. With the widespread use of gasoline direct injection technology, modern gasoline engines also produce fine particulate matter (PM) during combustion. If these particles are released untreated, they can negatively impact air quality and human health. The GPF is installed in the exhaust system and works by capturing the particulate matter using specialized filter media. Once a certain amount of particles accumulates, the filter undergoes a regeneration process at appropriate temperatures, burning off the captured particles and converting them into carbon dioxide (CO₂). This ensures the system remains efficient while maintaining low back pressure.
